Prepare your quilt top for quilting:

  1. Check all seams – repair any open seams.

  2. Press quilt top, first from the back to flatten all the seams. Then press from the front. If you want to use a product like Best Press, you can. It gives the quilt a nice crisp finish.

  3. Trim all loose threads.

  4. Ensure your backing is 8” wider and 10” longer than your quilt top.

  5. The batting should also be 8” wider and 10” longer than your quilt top.

  6. Pin a note to the top of your quilt and the top of the backing so we know the proper way to load it.
